House & techno producer, live performer and DJ from Istanbul. 600+ original songs since 1996.
About
Jonasclean (Yunus Çömlek) is an Istanbul-based producer, live performer and DJ, and the founder of Our Yunus Records. Since 1996 he has written more than 600 original songs, a catalogue that moves freely between raw, hypnotic techno, house, disco, soulful, neo soul, deep house, tech house and electronica.
His records are played in clubs from Ibiza to Europe and the US, supported by Jamie Jones, Pete Tong, Butch, Mousse T, Dennis Cruz, DJ Sneak, Demuir, Milk & Sugar and many more. "Rise Again" (with Omeria) sold over 600 copies on Beatport, reached #3 in the Jackin House Top 10 and stayed on the charts for weeks.
He was one of the first artists in Istanbul to perform hybrid live sets, part concert, part DJ set, built around the computer. For three summers he held the decks at DANE (Gökova, Türkiye), playing three-hour live sets.
Most of his songs carry the words of Mevlana Rumi. Not as world music, but the way house music once carried gospel: praise, remembrance and ecstasy, hidden inside the groove.
